Hi, Adam Gibson here, welcome to my art site, featuring my original paintings and other artwork. Each piece is hand-painted/hand-made by me and inspired by the colours, shapes, textures, and moods of Australian settings and landscapes. From coastal scenes to pieces that evoke the far outback, to iconic band pubs and lonely small town service stations, and lots in between, I explore shape, colour, and ambience to create affecting, original art. I am a Sydney artist, musician, and writer based in Bondi. As a lifelong surfer and traveller throughout Australia, I have a deep connection to the Australian landscape and my art seeks to articulate impressions and visions of the land, looking to capture elements of the beauty, texture, heat, distance, and heart of the country. My painting covers a similar terrain to that explored with my musical endeavours with my bands The Aerial Maps and The Ark-Ark Birds. Please explore, enjoy, and, perhaps, buy a work or two.
